So on Thursday you woke up and had a simple breakfast. Perhaps you drove to work or planned some projects around the yard and home. You may have had coffee with a friend, balanced your cheque book or enjoyed a nap. Your time may have been boring, stressful, or both. By the end of day, you crawled into bed wondering if your day made any difference for you, others or God. Most of our lives are routine, and we might think that God is absent from our humdrum hours. But ordinary is where God does His best work.
This Sunday we will look at the second chapter of Ruth. We left two widows carrying a painful burden. Naomi stewed with a bitter spirit and Ruth stared into a foreign future. What will God do? He will use the ordinary to do something extraordinary - just like He does for you and me. Bring your ordinary to Him this Sunday.
