Off the well-worn paths of the Old Testament found in Genesis, Psalms, Isaiah, there are gems to discover. We will spend the next three weeks holding one of them up to the light. Ruth is a four-chapter account of a single family in Israel. The family was not rich, noble, or powerful; so, this family is just like yours. Why should this home deserve our attention? Because life can drain us, physically, emotionally, mentally - spiritually. We come to the end of a day, a month or a decade and feel spent. Beyond the daily drip, drip of demands, a sudden or tragic loss may befall, leaving us in shock. Having been spent, are we simply to endure the squeeze of living, or is there a way of restoration? Ruth holds promise for us all.
