When I was in grade 6, I became a school crossing guard. (Practice for my retirement!) Assigned a crosswalk and a time, I was given specific instructions. I was to look for dangers and ensure that the crossing was safe. I was to instruct the other students to walk within the lines….slowly. I am pleased to say that in my crossing guard career, I have a clean report. No injuries. Only a few infractions.
This week we will delve into Ps.91 and recognize that God is the Supreme Crossing Guard, watching for our safety and enforcing the lines. The lanes of life are busy and bustle with danger, but we can cross with courage and hope.
