Scripture reminds us that God is a God of beginnings. Not just the first beginning, but new ones as well. This Sunday we are going to talk about the kind of beginning God offers when we need salvation, when we have made a significant mess of things, and when the Lord calls us into something new. These moments may look different on the surface, but they share a common thread: each one invites us to turn our eyes back to God and trust Him to do what only He can do—restore, redeem, and re-direct our lives.

WARM UP
What are some new things that you’ve experienced in 2025?
READ
John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 1:12; Matthew 26:69-75; Acts 2:14, 22, 36, 38-41;
Genesis 12:1-3
KEY INSIGHTS
God wants to do a new thing in in our lives in three areas:
1. A relationship with Him
2. A do over when we’ve messed up
3. A new assignment for our lives
QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION
1. Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If you haven’t, ask a Christian to help you to do so. If you have, what difference has this made in your life?
2. If you’ve had God help you when you’ve failed, what did He do?
3. If God has moved you to a different place, job or a new ministry, what brought this about? What is God doing in your new situation?
APPLICATION
1. Ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior if you haven’t. If you have, ask God to make you a part of the process for someone else to come to know Jesus.
2. Ask God to help you or someone else to recover from a failure and to redeem things.
3. Ask God to help you know if He’s giving you a new assignment and to help you to walk it out.
