Hidden in Plain Sight (Baojhong Township, Taiwan)
Lorne and Kathy-Lu White have worked in the western part of Yunlin County, Taiwan since 2006. Their desire is to start a church in this region since there are currently very few churches to share the good news about Jesus.
Baojhong Township is a small farming community, whose 15,000 residents live in 9 villages. Although some people operate small businesses, most rely on farming for their livelihood. Most formal worship occurs either in Taoist or Buddhist temples. Alternately, there is a single Roman Catholic Church building, which only hosts activities on special occasions.
Together with the Whites, our desire is that a church can be established near the township centre, a more accessible location for area residents. Together we are praying that God will help establish His church in Baojhong Township, providing a witness to this area of Taiwan.
