In Daniel 3 we read the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, three young Jewish men exiled to Babylon, not because of their sin but because of the sins of their forefathers. These young men remained faithful to God amidst incredible persecution and temptation, and for that faithfulness they were thrown into a fiery furnace. However, Scripture tells us they were not alone in the flames - someone else was in the fire with them. As we face fiery seasons in our lives as a result of our choices for God, this is a reminder that we are not alone.
Darcy will be using this account as the backdrop to his own life story, where he came to know the Faithful One who was present with him in the fire, rescuing and redeeming him from a broken home engulfed by the flames of sin, brokenness and addiction into a life of love, acceptance and forgiveness.
